Aroma Café is a family-owned Bosnian and Mediterranean restaurant in West Los Angeles. This is how it started and how it still runs.

A family business that never turned into a chain

Aroma Café & Restaurant opened in April 2004, bringing a taste of the Mediterranean to the local community in West Los Angeles. We are rooted in Bosnian cooking and happy to share it with anyone who walks in.

We use the freshest seasonal ingredients and give each dish the time you would give a meal at home. When you order a coffee or a salad, please do not mind the wait. We are either brewing your cup fresh or cutting and seasoning your salad only after you have ordered it.

We bake our own bread in-house and make the pitas from scratch. The grill is charcoal. Whether you are picking up an order or staying for the evening, come hungry.

Freshness first

Ingredients are sourced fresh and prepared on the spot. Nothing is cut, seasoned or assembled before your order reaches the kitchen.

Family hospitality

The same family has run this room since 2004. You are a guest before you are a customer, and regulars get remembered.

Made from scratch

Pita baked in-house daily. Sarma rolled by hand. Coffee brewed to order, one cup at a time. Good food takes the time it takes.

Bosnian tradition

Charcoal grilling, sour cabbage, kajmak, ajvar. These are recipes carried from home, cooked the way they are cooked there.
